Are you the type of person who worries about everything, big and small, all the time? Do you dread activities like shopping, dining out and traveling? Do you feel that your anxiety, stress and fear often get the best of you? Do you have backaches, irregular menstrual cycle, tremors and frequent headaches, especially during times you’re under great stress?

Then, you are not alone. Daily life has become so stressful and so demanding even with all the modern conveniences that we have.

For instance, people used to be able to relax and unwind when at home but due to the Internet, a lot of people have resorted to telecommuting due to personal, professional or health reasons. At first, it may be a good thing but in the long run, you would eventually figure out that telecommuting is not for everybody and that if you aren’t able to manage your time between your professional and personal responsibilities, sooner or later, you would be fed up with telecommuting and you would just go back to working in an office environment.

Another example is we have become so used of quick solutions like ready to cook food that each and every time we encounter a problem, we immediately look for a quick way to solve it. But once we realize that it’s not an easy problem to deal with, it’s likely that we would just break down and give up.

Anxiety, stress and fear is a result of how we react to our past experiences and thoughts and ideas that people have inculcated in our minds. This is because they affect how we see and feel about ourselves. And so, our self-image gets distorted so much so that we feel anxious, stressed out and fearful every time we encounter a situation similar to our bad experience or a similar situation where we got a negative feedback.

So, our usual response would be to avoid such circumstances that make us feel anxious or scared but in the even that we have no choice but to actually experience that situation, it is likely that we would feel very stressed out to the point that you would develop an anxiety disorder.

There are various anti-anxiety relief programs and drugs to promise to help you remove your anxiety, stress and fear but in the long run, these don’t work out. You would just feel good about yourself in the beginning if you undergo an anti-anxiety relief program. But sooner or later, you would feel fed up at trying to follow the program and you would just revert to the way you were before. Meanwhile, drugs can help alleviate the symptoms of anxiety disorders but it doesn’t cure the illness at all.

According to Panic-Stopper Psycho-Cybernetics principals, the best way to overcome anxiety, stress and fear is to examine the root cause of your anxieties and fears. Determine if they are real or otherwise. If they are real, then, do everything you can to change yourself for the better. If they aren’t then, forget about them. Always capitalize on your strengths and address your areas of weakness.

At the same time, it’s important for you to create an adequate, realistic self-image. If you have a good self-image, then, you would stop feeling any anxiety, stress or fear. You would become happier and more successful for a very long time. And even if you encounter a problem, always think back to your past successes. Always set up goals for yourself creatively and act on them. This way, you would be able to live a normal, healthy life.
