As many don’t know, anxiety disorders and other psychological illnesses have become so common in our present times due to the way we have been used to modern conveniences like ready to cook food. We have become so used to quick solutions to issues such as anxiety attacks that our resilience to those seemingly hard problems in life that we may face have decreased dramatically. For instance, if we experience an anxiety attack, the first thing that we would do is to pop an anti-depressant or a mood stabilizer. We don’t carefully examine the anxiety causes in the first place and if we continue to ignore anxiety attacks even when they are happening continuously, it’s possible that they could become such a huge problem later on and it may be too late for us to take action.

Often time, people dismiss the reasons why panic attacks occur. They believe that people who suffer from anxiety disorders, for instance, are just imagining their fears and they just overreact about every little thing. What they don’t know is that the fears that a person who has anxiety attacks are very real to him. And when the people around him simply dismiss his fears, he would feel more aggravated and his situation would only just get worse.

Anxiety attacks happen because of the fears that a person feels gets amplified each and every time he encounters a situation that causes anxiety. But the reason why the fears are there because of how a person reacted to a bad experience in the past and how he reacted to a negative feedback he got from other people. If you reacted to either of these negatively, then, he would feel anxious about a situation that he encounters, which reminds him of that bad experience or negative feedback.

For example, if you encountered a bad experience where you didn’t pass the audition of a contest you wanted to get in, you may feel rejected and you decide afterwards that you wouldn’t join contests anymore. Another example is there are people who you respect or you want to impress who says something negative about you, you may feel hurt and, therefore, you may refrain from sharing your ideas and feelings with other people because you are afraid that they too would not like you.

Bad experiences and negative feedback can either make or break a person. But if you have an unhealthy way of looking at yourself and you never feel good about yourself, which has been affected by how you reacted to your experiences and thoughts that other people have about you, then, it is likely that you would always feel anxious to the point that you may experience panic attacks.
