Anxiety Definition: When to Know if You Have an Anxiety Disorder
Anxiety is a common feeling that people have occasionally like when they experience when they’re taking a driving test they are unprepared for, when they’re delivering an impromptu speech or when they’re talking to a person they really want to impress. But when you constantly feel anxious and agitated most everyday to the point that there is no apparent threat around you and you are feeling all sorts of heightened sensations such as a quick heart rate and dry throat, then, it’s highly likely that you have an anxiety disorder. And you might ask, “what does anxiety definition mean? Why am I feeling this way most if not all the time?”
Anxiety disorder is a medical condition where you feel uneasy and restless about an uncertain future, either real or imagined. When you suffer from an anxiety disorder, your physical, emotional and mental well-being collapses to the point that you are unable to function normally. For example, people who have agoraphobia or fear of open spaces very much dislikes being out in public. They don’t like going to the mall or to a park because they feel that when they do, they would go out of the control to the point that they may even pass out. They feel that when they have no means of escape whenever they are put in a situation where they need to be taken out of their comfort zone. Hence, they would rather stay at home or some place where they feel safe.
