It has revolutionized so much over the years that we have found ways to alleviate and even cure most of the human diseases known to man.</p>
<p>The implication here is that we have become a pill popping population.  If we have a headache, we take aspirin.  If we have allergies, we take antihistamine.  We do not even consider the many side effects that medicine has.  For instance, aspirin has side effects of heartburn, nausea and upset stomach.  Another example is that pain relievers have side effects of constipation, dry mouth and slow breathing.</p>

<p>And the problem with taking traditional medicine that help alleviate and control anxiety disorder and other psychological illnesses is that these medication are really expensive.  The prices of anti-depressants, sleeping pills, anti-psychotic drugs and other medicine have skyrocketed at present and these are generally sold in major drugstores.  In addition, these drugs can only be bought with a doctor’s prescription as these are not over the counter type of medicine.</p>
<p>So, one of the implications of this is that you have to go to a specialist in order to get a prescription and it is known that psychiatrists charge a lot.  Another implication is that not many people can afford to buy these types of medicine.</p>
<p>And so, more and more people seek alternative medicine as a way to not just to save money from expensive psychiatric treatments but they also expect natural anxiety nutritional supplements, for example, to have the same effects as those of traditional medicine.</p>
<p>Anti-anxiety nutritional supplements have been introduced in order to reduce symptoms of anxiety attacks while lessening the risk of side effects.  At the same time, these supplements are believed not to be habit-forming.</p>
<p>Usually, anti-anxiety nutritional supplements contain essential fatty acids such as Omega-3, magnesium, calcium and vitamin B that are believed to help balance brain chemicals as the imbalance of brain chemicals cause not only anxiety but also depression and other psychological illnesses.</p>
<p>At present, there are a lot of anxiety nutritional supplements that are in the market such as SociaTropin that promise to help you relax and focus and at the same time, allow you to function normally without the use of habit-forming drugs.  In addition, it claims to increase levels of brain chemicals such as dopamine serotonin, Gamma-aminobutryic acid and norepinephrine, which help you become serene, sociable, content and positive.</p>
<p>But when you look carefully on the website of SociaTropin, for example, it says there that the Food and Drug Administration has not verified the statements made in said site.  And most importantly, it says on the site that SociaTropin was not made to detect, alleviate, stop and heal any illnesses.</p>
<p>Besides, even traditional medicine can only help you control your anxiety attacks to a certain extent only.  It can even out your brain chemicals but in the long run, you need to also help yourself to be able to cope with your condition.</p>
<p>And this is where Psycho-Cybernetics comes in.  Psycho-Cybernetics is a proven method that Dr. Maxwell Maltz has introduced in the 1960s.  Since then, over thirty million people have benefited from this as they are able to go about their normal daily lives.</p>

<p>And of course, always prepare to further help you gather enough confidence for this activity.  When you have all these, then, it is sure that you would not only be able to cope with anxiety attacks but also achieve whatever you have put your mind into.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As time goes by, it seems that the number of people who suffer from anxiety attacks are ever increasing and some of them resort to treatments of hypnosis for panic attacks.  This is because there is a belief that if hypnosis is used properly, it can penetrate through the conscious mind to reach the subconscious mind and absolutely remove all unwanted negative thoughts.  At the same time, it is believed that hypnosis can help you identify whatever the root cause of your panic attacks.  This way, you would be able to determine the root cause of your anxiety attacks and how you can completely eliminate it.</p>
<p>Hypnosis is basically a state where the mind has decreased alertness as the patient is now more vulnerable than ever before.  And once you are in this state, you would be more vulnerable to another person&#8217;s contro.l So, you would be more open to suggestions.</p>

<li>There are not a lot of hypnotherapists worldwide, so it is difficult to find a licensed practician of hypnosis.</li>
<li>Hypnotherapy is very expensive as it normally costs hundreds of dollars per session.</li>
<li>It takes a long time for a patient to be cured using hypnosis so, it is definitely not an instant cure for panic attacks.</li>
<li>There is not a 100% success rate for hypnosis being able to cure panic attacks.</li>
<li>If hypnosis is misused, the hypnotherapist can make a suggestion to the patient to do something wrong.  For instance, the hypnotherapist might suggest to the patient that the latter should dance like a chicken.</li>
<li>If the hypnotherapist has not evaluated the patient carefully and the former has employed hypnosis to cure the latter, then, the treatment may turn out to be a failure.</li>
<li>If the patient is the type of person who loathes vulnerability, he may feel dizzy, disoriented, unfocused and he might not be able to succumb to the effects of hypnosis.  And even if the person knows self-hypnosis, it may prove not to be effective on said person.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today, there are different anti-anxiety management techniques that can be used to cope with anxiety disorders.  A person can be said to have an anxiety disorder if they worry about every little detail of their lives.  And traditionally, doctors have recommended these anti-anxiety management techniques to deal with anxiety attacks.</p>
<p>Some examples of anti-anxiety management techniques are as follows:</p>
<p><span id="more-40"></span>1.    Avoid drinking caffeine-inducing drinks  like coffee and cola.  As we all know, caffeine is a stimulant and too much of this in our system would cause palpitation and inability to sleep.  And those who are taking sleeping pills are advised not to take caffeine as the latter might conflict with the medication.<br />
2.    Margaret Wehrenberg, a licensed psychologist who also wrote the book, The Ten Best-Ever Anxiety Management Techniques, recommended that if in the event that you have anxious thoughts going through your mind, you can use aromatherapy bath oils when you soak in a tub to help yourself calm down.  You can also make mental lists of things to do so, you would be able to prioritize all of the things you have to do.<br />
3.    Exercise allows you to feel the same heightened emotions that you feel when you are having anxiety attacks such as your heartbeat gets faster.  Once you get used to exercise, you would be able to control the heightened sensations you may feel when you get anxious.  Therefore, you would not mind them so much anymore.  You can do simple exercises such as jogging and brisk walking and as complex as aerobics and boxing.<br />
4.    Do breathing exercises that would help you calm down.  Relax on a chair, close your eyes and count from one to ten.<br />
5.    Apply distraction techniques to help you worry less about your problems.  As they say, Make yourself busy.<br />
6.    Refocus your thoughts to something positive to beat the negative thoughts that are in your mind.</p>
<p>Though the above anxiety management techniques have been successfully used by some people, there are also problems that go with them.  For instance, if you like to drink coffee and cola, chances are you would find it hard to stop drinking these beverages.  You can try to avoid taking these drinks but in the long run, there would be a large chance for you to just revert back to drinking coffee and cola.  You would just say, “I cannot change because this is the way I am”.</p>
<p>At the same time, exercise, making mental lists, breathing exercises, distraction techniques and refocusing your thoughts can only suppress your negative thoughts for so long.  But there would be instances where negative thoughts can pop up in your mind, especially when you are stressed out.  There would come a time when you have spent all your will power and determination and all you want to do is to give up.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Control Panic Attacks:  Imagine being in a carnival where a lot of people stroll through to get to rides, to participate in games or buy food from concession stands.  And then, your friend dares you to ride the Ferris wheel as he knows you are scared of heights.  Of course, your immediate answer would be a no because you suddenly remember a bad memory where you fell from a tree when you were a kid.</p>
<p>But since your friend is pushing you to get onto the ride, you finally oblige and when you stand in line waiting for your turn to ride the Ferris wheel, you suddenly feel that heart beats faster, your hands become clammy, butterflies in your stomach and your throat tightens.</p>
<p><span id="more-1"></span>Does this scenario seem familiar to you?  When you look at this situation, you would immediately know that this person is really anxious to the point that he may be experiencing an anxiety attack.  This is triggered by the stress that he is experiencing before he goes onto the ride and because his mind keeps coming back to what happened when he was little.</p>
<p>Although there is no immediate threat in riding a Ferris wheel, this person would not know this because he assumes that something would go wrong once he goes into the Ferris wheel.  This feeling and belief has been brought about by his negative past experience and even if you say that the fear he is feeling is unrealistic, there is no way that he would believe you.</p>
<p>One of the traditional techniques that were introduced to help ease the heightened emotions that anxiety causes is a breathing exercise.  Here, once you feel that you are having an anxiety attack, you go to a place where you can be alone and do focused breathing.  Focus breathing is where you just mind how you breathe for a specific interval like five minutes or so.  Another type of breathing exercise is the one that is taught in Lamaze classes that aim to help people get through the pain of giving birth.  These breathing exercises aim to help you relax and neutralize the effects of an anxiety attack.</p>
<p>Aside from breathing exercises, there is a technique called the One Move Technique that aims to help you face anxiety attacks by commanding the heightened sensations you feel to make themselves more known to you.  This way, you would believe that the anxious feelings that you are having are not real.</p>
<p>Although, these techniques can help you control panic attacks at first , eventually, there may come a time where you would feel fed up with all your efforts in controlling panic attacks and all you want to do is give up.  And once your willpower and determination wanes, there would be a tendency for you to not just slide back to where you started but there is a chance that panic attacks would affect you even on a greater scale.</p>
